Hey, young revolutionary! If you’re planning on tearing the system down, then you
sure better know what you’re replacing it with. And a solid, well thought-out idea at
that. Not just some airy or watery notion of equality, or any other nice-sounding
word or lofty ideal with nothing solid to back it up. If you’re suggesting a new
system, what does it look like in grounded reality? How is it sustained? How will
you ensure the problems of this one are not transferred to that one? How will you
measure your success? How is it sustained? And what makes you think you can do
better than humanity’s collective best efforts through history up until this point?
This is no discouragement- more a holding to account. These are important
considerations. Yes, idealism; the world needs dreamers. But realism too. Because
existence is a day-to-day reality. Don’t think your elders haven’t thought as you do…
