Most likely ‘misinformation’ of the ‘infodemic,’ of course. Nothing true comes from anywhere other than the mainstream media, we all know that.

Funny how ‘fake news’ is so rife at a time of creeping internet censoriousness (for your ‘safety and security,’ I’m sure. Because the media outlets and the tech giants just love you!) and mass awakening to what is really going on. Who defines what is ‘fake’ and what is real? And why is the plausible lumped into the same category as the outright ridiculous?

I’m not trying to convince anyone of anything. Adult human beings generally have the capacity to look at a range of information and decide for themselves. Maybe we’re right, maybe we’re wrong. But at least we’re not just spoon-fed our information like morons, blindly believing whatever we’re told, from the most accessible and easily reached sources (i.e. you just switched the telly on and absorbed it all like a sponge…).

This information provides a balance of sorts, to what you’ve probably already been exposed to. Long live alternative points of view. Self-imposed ‘higher powers’ want to ‘protect you’ from the information ‘for your own good.’ A population that thinks for itself is annoying.

If you sympathise with any of these ideas, you’re probably guilty of the heinous crime of ‘wrong think.’

So don’t look too closely. Truth might take you. And then the illusion will never be the same again! And you don’t want that, do you?
