Let’s launch right into it. The world is an illusion. That is not to say it is not real. The
world is the illusion of consciousness. The play of consciousness. Consciousness itself
being the active and passive principle of Life that is most real. Active- in all that we see
and do; passive- in its unmoving and permanent pure potential for all that we may see
and do. The ancients have always known that everything is born of consciousness, in
much the same way that all dreams are born of the dreamer. In this way, the world is a
dream of consciousness. And as we know, dreams change. As does the state of the world, and its condition throughout time and space- historically and geographically there has been much variation.
